New Post: Kicking It’s Best of the Weekend Report

By, Kyle Gibson

It’s getting colder by the day and darker earlier than ever, but Monday is the darkest of them all.

Why not re-live some of the weekend all over again with a best of the soccer world? Ok….here we go.

Best Team- Manchester United

I had to. The unfortunate leg of Kieran Gibbs and the feet of Wayne Rooney gave United the 2-1 win it so desperately needed against Arsenal. A makeshift United team got it done and Louis Van Gaal got huge performances from Rooney, Marouane Fellaini, David DeGea, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young. United is now in the 4th place Champions League slot.

Best Player-Lionel Messi

I mean…it had to be, right? Messi broke the La Liga all-time scoring record at age 27 with a hat trick that moved him by Telmo Zarra to 253 career goals.

Messi also made some cryptic comments this week about his future with Barcelona. The fee to move him would truly be a sight to behold.

Best Goal-Jeremy Menez

I’m giving this one to Menez because I didn’t want to include Messi twice, but this goal was simply BAD. To do that in the most important match Milan will have this season against arch-rival Inter, you gotta be kidding me.

Best Podcast of the Week- It’s probably not the Kicking it with Kyle Gibson podcast, but you can still listen to that right here anyway.
